Wednesday’s Word Around Town

Pottsgrove Manor will open its doors to the public on Tuesday, July 7th.  They are implementing some new rules, including the requirement that all visitors make a reservation 24 hours in advance for a tour and that all visitors wear a mask and practice social distancing while on the grounds of Pottsgrove Manor.  They will continue to offer digital programming, exhibits and events at this time.  Please go to for more information about the site’s re-opening.

The State Theatre in Boyertown opened last weekend and is following CDC guidelines to protect the safety of their staff and guests.  They are implementing 6-foot distancing measures, encouraging frequent hand washing with soap and water and making available hand sanitizer to all guests, and ensuring that their employees are using personal protective equipment.

The Reading Pagoda will present July 4th Community Fireworks from Mount Penn at 10 p.m.  Skyline Drive and the Reading Pagoda will not be open to the public but you can watch the fireworks from a safe location of your choice.  Tune into 830 WEEU over the air, the tune in app, or online at from 8 to 10:15 p.m. for live music from the Erich Cawalla duo and special guests and information on the Pagoda.
